having a good quality of life in a sustainable community is very useful. Having a sustainable community means that your community has good public transportation , good finance, solar energy, local energy, good space for nature and lots of greenery. There is plenty of more ways a community can be sustainable but those are a few. There are a lot of sustainable community’s and non-sustainable and I am going to be talking about Curitiba.

The city of Curitiba is famous for its planning and their rational development. Curitiba has 400 square kilometers that is parks and forestry areas. Curitiba emits 25% less carbon in the air than most Brazilian cities. a lot of people in Curitiba own cars but Curitiba has good public transportation. In the past years people have noticed that Curitiba is a functional humane city and the population has grown. In Curitiba the recycling is very well used and tons of people take train,bus, or taxi rather than their own car .

The planning Curitiba took to get to being Brazil most sustainable community’s was adding in bike racks all over the city, integrated transport system, increased green space, recycling initiatives and increased social opportunities. In Curitiba the transport has changed for the better by adding in a new bus system. The bus is efficient, affordable, and sustainable. Special roads were put in for buses that make the passenger use speed up. Increased green space increased by planting 1.5 million trees and creating 28 parks. Curitiba is one of the most greenest cities in the world. Recycling has increased because Curitiba made it so that if you recycled you could exchange recycling for bus tokens, note books, or food. This system has increased recycling and has made the environment a lot better.

Thanks to all the planning Curitiba has became Brazil’s most sustainable city and one of the most greenest cities in the world. Your life quality depends on how sustainable your community is. Without the inproved bus system,adding more trees, adding parks, and the recycling system Curitiba wouldn’t function as well if it didn’t have these.
